Hey Y’all,

The last several days, most of the United States has experienced a significant weather event. Approximately 70% of the country has extreme temperatures, ice and snow leading to wide spread electrical interruptions. In some areas, the devastation is drastic and others, it is life as usual.

Most of us know have been reminded first hand or anecdotally about the major role that the electrical grid plays in our modern life. We can’t really do anything without power. Of course, the heat is off and the internet is down. Soon, the phone is no longer powered and if you have a electric car, then it is parked. Many of us need power to warm the water or to pump the water up a hill to our house or to flush the sewage down. A few days with out power is a major life event.

It is a daily way of life in Haiti. They need us and we need them. No one gets pulled out of the ditch without help. Today is a opportunity to link up with other and form a united team in the interest of helping the Haitian people. Contact me at souvyzion@gmail.com today and join the movement!

Until next time, keep on rockin!

2020 has brought a wave of unrest to the planet. No nation has gone unaffected. The world has experienced unprecedented upheaval. It has brought unexpected health concerns, riots, loud voiced calling for change and opportunity.

This opportunity is everywhere. It is in our cities. It is in our neighborhoods. It is in our homes and it is in our heart.

The opportunity for change exists in Haiti too. We do not control their government. We do not control their borders. We do not control their leaders. We do not control travel schedules. We do not control unrest.

What we can control is us. We can control how we think. We can control how we plan.

Now is the time to plan for the day when Haiti is open and safe for mission trips. We need to use this time to make connections and be ready to collaborate so that we can be the change that is needed in Haiti when the time is right.

Pain is real. Pain is the mechanism that the body uses to warn us of danger. In many respects, pain is good because it forces us to make an immediate change which protects us.

The following words might hurt. If your primary goal for ministry and mission trips is for your people to gain an appreciation and perspective of how blessed they are. Then you are practicing what I call snow globe ministry. That is where you go to a place, you shake up the local community’s snow globe for a week and you walk away.

All you accomplished is to rearrange the little snowflakes in the glass jar. Nothing more. You did nothing to change the flakes that you spoke with. You did nothing to make their world a better place. Everything around them says exactly the same. You left them without any hope of a better life.

Even worse, you only made a minor change to your own life. You accomplished nothing more than seeing extreme poverty in the same way that others think going to the zoo is like seeing an animal in the wild.

Sou Vizyon, is about more. We want real change. We want to shatter the snow globe and free the little white flakes from their glass cage. We want them to have the opportunity to grow and experience economic, social and personal freedom.

Join us and be an agent of real change. Partner with other groups and literally be a part of a revolution with will give you real pride and a sense of accomplishment.
