Hey Y'all,

Reports are starting to surface about how the kidnapped missionaries who were in Haiti managed to gain their release. The official reports are that they escaped. Wow! Good for them.

When I served in the Air Force, I attended Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (S.E.R.E.) school in Spokane Washington. It was a no joke school and one of the required training environments was to be held captive for more than three days to simulate being held in a long term prison camp. The only minor difference between S.E.R.E. school and a real Prisoner of War is that in S.E.R.E., they don't really mean you harm.

For these relatively untrained people to escape and walk approximately ten miles carrying babies and young children to safety is absolutely amazing!
